Sales Lead

This isn’t a lead-actioning role. It’s a leadership role. As Sales Lead, you own the sales function end to end: finding growth opportunities, building and improving the systems that drive conversion, and leading outreach that brings in the right clients. You’ll report on performance against clear KPIs and be accountable for results, not just activity. We’re looking for someone who wants to build something, not just run a script.

Read the job description below and if it screams your name, follow the instructions to apply.

Applications close: EOD Wednesday 3rd September 2026.

Job Title: Sales Lead

Company: Marketing Movement

Location: Australia (Remote)  |  Pay Rate: $40-45/hr + Commission + Super + Profitshare

About Us: Marketing Movement isn’t your typical marketing agency. We’re 100% women owned, fully remote, and run on a teal business structure (no top-down hierarchy) where team members own their domain and are trusted to lead it. We help small and medium Australian businesses grow with strategies that actually work, without the corporate spin. If you want real ownership over a sales function rather than just working a lead list, keep reading.

Role Overview: This isn’t a lead-actioning role.

Hours: The role is 40-60 hours per month, depending on your availability, within business hours and business days. Speed to lead is a priority, so having windows of availability on each workday is essential.

What you’ll own:

  1. Leading the sales domain, including strategy, process and ongoing improvement
  2. Finding and pursuing new growth opportunities for the business
  3. Designing and implementing new systems and processes to improve conversion and efficiency
  4. Speed to lead. Actioning and qualifying new leads fast, because timing wins deals
  5. Running discovery and closing calls, preparing sales decks and quotes
  6. Cold and warm outreach, particularly during quieter periods
  7. Handing over signed clients cleanly to the account management team
  8. Reporting monthly against KPIs, with a minimum 20% conversion rate benchmark
  9. Using and refining our stack: GoHighLevel, Asana, Google Workspace, Canva, Gojiberry and Stripe
  10. Building and evolving our sales SOPs as domain owner

Requirements:

Essential

  • 2+ years of sales experience (bonus if it’s in marketing).
  • Proven track record of high conversion rates (20% minimum; 40%+ is the benchmark we’re aiming for).
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to confidently run discovery calls, closing calls, and overcome objections.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised, efficient and great at time management.
  • A genuine, relationship-first approach to sales, not a pushy one.
  • Availability during business hours on all weekdays (negotiable).
*Flexibility is available as long as leads can be actioned in a timely manner
  • Based in Australia with an ABN (contractor role).
  • Experience using CRM and project management tools (bonus if familiar with GoHighLevel and Asana).

Desirable

  • Previous experience selling digital marketing services (especially to small or medium businesses).
  • Knowledge of High Level (a.k.a GoHighLevel), Asana, or similar CRM/project management tools.
  • Experience working in a remote, autonomous environment.
  • A track record of building and improving sales processes
  • Confidence in contributing ideas for marketing or outreach strategies.

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of $40-45/hr + superannuation + commission.
  • Commission incentives for every successful conversion (ranging from 5-10% depending on service sold)
  • You will qualify for profit share after six months, where company profit is shared within the team.
  • Flexible remote work environment (work anywhere in Australia!).
  • Supportive team culture.

Key Dates:

  • 3rd September: Job closes
  • 8th & 9th September (flexible): Interviews (round 1) followed by mock sales calls (round 2)
  • Week commencing 14th September: Onboarding (paid) and start the role

How to Apply: If you are passionate about ethical sales, and want to work with a team of insanely nice humans, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you’re the perfect fit for this role to del@marketingmovement.net

Meet Jes

Marketing Maestro & Music Addict

Jes is passionate about creating beautiful content and engaging words for businesses (oh, and she’s an ads whiz!). She holds a Bachelor of Communications and has over a decade of marketing experience, working mainly in Cyber Security & high tech, but with some very random experiences thrown in the mix too… including managing a high profile V8 supercars sponsorship & joining Australia’s favourite children’s act, The Wiggles, for a day of planned publicity activities across Sydney.

Jes loves being creative and trying new things, which at the moment has herperfecting the art of sourdough and in the cooler months, battling it out on the hockey turf (even though she admits she still doesn’t really know the rules).

If she could, Jes would love to spend weekends attending gigs and concerts, but being a mum of two little ones (three if you include the fur-baby), Jes enjoys the simple moments in life; a hot cup of tea, a published client post, the first sip of an ice-cold beer on a hot summers day … and the occasional (ok, daily) boogie in the kitchen.

Throw in some crazy achievements like representing Australia at World Sport Aerobics for good measure, and you have a well-rounded, jack-of-all-trades kinda woman. A glass of wine is often enjoyed (needed) on the weekends!

Meet Del

Director | Ice cream enthusiast

Meet our co-Director, Lyndell! Better known as ‘Del’, her travel blog was noticed by a U.S marketing agency, who hired her upon returning to Australia in 2016. Since then, her passion for marketing has grown, working with hundreds of businesses around the world in a variety of sectors! From creating captivating copy for a men’s skincare line, to leading campaigns for Perth’s hottest spin studio, to building this very website! She’s done it all.

With a successful business of her own, it was a no-brainer that 2022 saw her marketing biz, CopyCat and Marketing Movement join forces. It’s all part of our world domination plan (but don’t tell anyone).

With a background in performing arts and a guitar never too far away, it’s fair to say Del likes to spice things up. She’s toured with rockstars, danced in a major Hollywood film and has two knee ops to prove it. When she’s not at her computer working with our team or setting our clients up for success, she is sailing the seven seas with her hubby and pooch, living the ultimate working-nomad lifestyle! Oh, and eating ice cream. Lots of ice cream.

Meet Liam

Editor  |  Beard Bedazzler

Liam is our resident Osteopath and technical content writer. Studying and working as an Osteo in the UK, Liam then moved to sunny Australia, where he splits his time between the clinic and writing fabulous content for our clients.

Before venturing into allied health, Liam was a professional drummer and music teacher, playing with some big names like the Freestylers, and even played at Coldplay’s VIP afterparty at Wembley Stadium! He’s also released three albums with his band Storey.

After treating in a private clinic for many years, Liam now leads a team of Physios within an aged care setting. He’s a big nerd (which we love), and absolutely loves writing about all the weird and wonderful things the human body is capable of. Oh, and did we mention that at Christmas time he glitters his beard? Legend.

Meet Coralee

With over a decade of experience in digital marketing and ecommerce, Coralee’s career has taken her from eCommerce manager at MCAS, to eCom ops and global SEO at Lorna Jane, to driving record organic search growth at Michael Hill—where she also managed an eye-watering $8 million annual Google Ads budget (no pressure!). If there’s an SEO course out there, she’s probably done it.

Meet Matt

WordPress Web Designer and Sports Fanatic

Matt has worked in the web design industry since 2012, specialising in WordPress. He is passionate about helping clients improve their online presence via great looking websites and SEO optimisation. He studied at Bond University on the Gold Coast, and after completing a subject called “Web Design”, Matt was hooked on building websites as a career choice.

He started by setting up a freelance web design business and was lucky enough to rebuild an eCommerce website for Black Opal Direct. The owner Justin was very thankful and even created a video testimonial. Then later in 2012, Matt started Gold Coast Websites with another local freelancer and we took the business from strength to strength. One of the highlights was working on one of the first website versions for Hi Smith Teeth.

Over the journey, Matt has worked with a lot of different industries and businesses in Australia. He has worked at Punch Equipment as a Website and SEO manager. At the same time, he helped Violet Gray Design take her eCommerce business to another level. He has also written sports content for Betr since 2016.

Outside of the World Wide Web, Matt enjoys playing and watching sports. In summer, you’ll find him playing park cricket for the Broady Cats and hitting tennis balls at the QLD Tennis Centre in Brissy. He loves watching footy (AFL & NRL) during the winter. In 2026, Matt will be getting married to his Filipino partner (so exciting!) and they live together with their adorable puppy, Mookie.

Meet Ash

Google Specialist | Mother of Chickens

Ash began her career as a Financial Auditor for the Victorian Government. While she enjoyed the structured, process-driven nature of the role, she quickly realised her career path needed to involve more creativity. Since then, she has built over half a decade of experience across digital marketing and ecommerce, spending much of her career in agency environments working with major Australian brands including Jetstar, Myer and Michael Hill, to name a few. She has since transitioned in-house and is now the Digital Marketing Manager for Search at Adore Beauty. Ash takes great pride in the accounts she manages, often referring to them as “her babies”.

Equipped with a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University and a Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing Technologies from Swinburne University of Technology, Ash has a genuine passion for continuous learning – something that naturally complements the fast-moving nature of the digital marketing industry (especially with the rapid evolution of AI). Alongside her expertise in paid search, she has expanded her experience across paid social, affiliates & partnerships, as well as SEO.

Outside of work, Ash loves spending time outdoors: either amongst her orchard of over 30 fruit trees, vegetable garden or in her chicken coop spending time with her seven chickens. Ash is also a proud dog mum of Cara the Cavoodle & Cassandra the Kelpie!

Meet Mikeala

Virtual Assistant | Chief Chaos Tamer

Mikeala is the person who gets genuinely excited when someone says “I don’t even know where to start.” That’s her moment – and she’s very good at it.

With years of experience spanning customer service, digital communications, quality analysis, and dispute resolution, Mikeala has built a solid toolkit for making businesses run smoother, smarter, and with a whole lot less stress. She has a natural talent for stepping into the chaos, getting her bearings quickly, and turning scattered to-do lists into clear, actionable plans. Throw in a Diploma of Music and it’s clear Mikeala is someone who brings depth, creativity, and the occasional surprise to everything she does.

Whether she’s streamlining a workflow, managing communications, or untangling a backlog that’s been quietly growing for months, Mikeala approaches every task with care, curiosity, and a genuine investment in the people she works with. She doesn’t just get things done – she gets the right things done, in the right order, with the right attention to detail.

When she’s not bringing calm to someone else’s chaos, you’ll find Mikeala knee-deep in a craft project, juggling mum life, or planning her next creative pursuit. She loves making things – at work and at home. Just usually with less glitter at work.

Meet Nicole

Google Ads Specialist | Golden Retriever Mum

Nic’s journey into marketing started back in 2007, not long after returning home from living in London. What began with website design grew into a genuine passion for helping businesses grow online, and these days her focus is firmly on Google Ads.

What sets Nic apart is the way she looks at the bigger picture. Rather than just optimising campaigns in isolation, she takes the time to understand what a business is actually trying to achieve, then builds a strategy around that goal. It is this holistic approach that helps her clients get real, meaningful results from their ad spend. She is currently rounding out her marketing knowledge with a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences, majoring in Marketing, through Swinburne Online, due for completion in mid 2027.

Outside of client accounts, Nic is a self-confessed professional yapper, always ready to chat about marketing, mindset or her latest reality TV obsession. She genuinely loves writing and finds it hard to say anything in under three sentences.

When she is not working, Nic is either at the beach, wrangling her four kids and two golden retrievers, or squeezing in a gym session before the day gets away from her. She starts most mornings with a good cup of tea and a smashed avo, and loves nothing more than tracking down the best spicy margarita wherever she goes. If she had her way, she would spend her life chasing the sunshine around the world, one beach at a time.

Meet Lina

Social Media Strategist | Taco Connoisseur

Lina is a social media strategist and content creator with a Bachelor of Communications and Journalism and a passion for helping businesses tell stories that people actually want to engage with. With experience managing 50+ client accounts across industries including hospitality, healthcare, automotive, finance, real estate and not-for-profits, she loves creating content that builds genuine connections and delivers real results.

She’s the type of person who gets way too excited about a clever campaign, a trending sound or a brand that absolutely nails its social media. Whether she’s brainstorming content ideas, writing copy or digging through analytics, she’s always looking for new ways to help brands stand out (and yes, she’s probably sent the team another “look at this trend!” message).

Lina is a proud mum of two, a self-confessed taco connoisseur (who samples new ones every time she visits her mum in Mexico!), and the person you’ll find scrolling social media “for work”… even when she’s technically off the clock.
