GOOGLE ADS FOR CHIROPRACTORS AUSTRALIA

google ads for chiropractors.

reach people actively searching for a chiropractor in your area.

Google Ads for chiropractors can put your clinic in front of people at the point they are actively searching for chiropractic services, rather than waiting for them to discover your clinic another way. But a chiropractic campaign needs more than a few keywords and a daily budget.

Your targeting, search terms, ad copy, landing pages and conversion tracking all need to work together. Because chiropractors provide regulated health services, your advertising also needs to account for AHPRA advertising requirements and the advertising provisions of the National Law.

At Marketing Movement, we manage chiropractor Google Ads as part of our wider chiropractor marketing services. We work with Australian allied health clinics and have a registered allied health practitioner on our team, so healthcare marketing is a core part of what we do.

Our aim is not to generate impressive-looking click numbers for a report. We want your chiropractor ads to reach relevant searches and give you useful data about the enquiries and booking actions they generate.

what is SEO

what is google ads for chiropractors?

Google Ads is paid advertising platform. Search campaigns allow businesses to bid for advertising visibility when people enter relevant searches into Google. For a chiropractic clinic, that could include searches relating to a chiropractor, a particular service the clinic genuinely provides, or a chiropractor in a particular suburb or area.

You generally pay when somebody clicks the advertisement, which makes the quality of the search especially important. A person searching for a chiropractic job, university course or salary information is very different from someone looking for a local clinic. Both may use the word “chiropractor”.

That is why effective chiropractic advertising requires more than selecting a broad group of keywords. Campaign structure can include:

  • relevant search keywords and match types
  • geographic targeting
  • negative keywords
  • ad copy and applicable ad assets
  • landing-page optimisation
  • bidding and budget settings
  • conversion and call tracking
  • ongoing search-term review

The right setup depends on the clinic, its location, the services being promoted and the data available in the account.

HOW IT WORKS

how we manage chiropractic google ads.

the three things that decide whether a chiro campaign pays for itself.

01

campaign setup and targeting.

We build campaigns around your clinic, services, locations and search market. That includes keyword research, geographic targeting, campaign structure and negative keywords to help filter out irrelevant searches such as jobs, study and training.

02

ads and landing pages.

We create chiropractic ads that clearly reflect the services you provide, with AHPRA advertising requirements considered in the ad copy and landing-page content. We also review the journey from search to enquiry, including mobile usability, page relevance and clear booking or contact pathways.

03

tracking and ongoing optimisation.

We track meaningful actions such as calls, enquiries and online booking activity where your setup allows it. From there, we continue refining search terms, negative keywords, bids, budgets and ad performance using real campaign data.

what is included in our chiro google ads management.

campaign strategy and keyword research.

We research your market, target areas and relevant search behaviour before deciding how your chiropractor Google Ads account should be structured.

That includes looking at how people search for chiropractic services in your area, which searches show stronger intent, and where irrelevant traffic could waste budget. We also consider geographic targeting, keyword match types and how different services should be grouped within the campaign.

The focus is not on building the longest possible keyword list. It is on identifying searches that make sense for your clinic and the services you genuinely provide, then using negative keywords to help filter out searches relating to jobs, study, training and other irrelevant intent.

We also look at how the campaign should be divided across locations, services and priorities so the structure reflects what you actually want to promote. A multi-location clinic, for example, may need a different setup from a single-location practice targeting one local catchment.

As campaign data builds, we review the actual search terms triggering your ads and use those insights to refine the keyword strategy further. This helps us identify which searches are worth continuing to target, where spend may be going to waste, and where new opportunities are appearing.

ad copy and assets.

We develop headlines, descriptions and applicable Google Ads assets around the clinic and its services.

For chiropractic ads, that also means considering the healthcare advertising environment rather than using generic advertising claims that might work in an unregulated industry.

We review the connection between the search, advertisement and destination page.

That can include page relevance, mobile usability, page speed, calls to action and conversion pathways.

conversion measurement.

We set up appropriate conversion measurement based on your website, campaign and available systems.

That may include Google Analytics, enquiry tracking, call tracking or booking-related actions where integrations permit it.

ongoing optimisation & reports.

We continue reviewing campaign performance, search terms, bids, budgets, negative keywords and advertising copy after launch.

Reporting is designed to show what is happening in the account and give us useful information for the next optimisation decisions.

At Clinical Physio Solutions, we’ve had a great experience working with Marketing Movement over the last 12 months. Their understanding of the allied health industry really sets them apart, and they consistently bring proactive, forward-thinking ideas and strategies to the table. Our client manager Coralee has been fanatstic and is in constant contact regarding new oppotunities for outreach. Rather than simply reacting to what’s happening, they’re always looking ahead for new opportunities and ways to improve our marketing. The quality of their work is consistently high, communication is excellent, and you can tell they genuinely care about achieving strong outcomes for their clients. We’ve really valued having Marketing Movement as a marketing partner and would highly recommend them to any allied health business looking for a knowledgeable, proactive and professional marketing team.

I would highly recommend Marketing Movement to anyone needing support with websites, branding, marketing or strategy. COMPLIANCE

chiropractic advertising has rules.

AHPRA and Google both shape how your campaign can run.

Chiropractors are registered health practitioners, so chiropractic advertising must comply with the advertising requirements of the National Law. That applies not only to the Google ad itself, but also to the landing page and other content the ad directs people to.

Among other requirements, advertising must not be false or misleading, use prohibited testimonials about regulated health services, create unreasonable expectations of beneficial treatment, or encourage unnecessary use of health services. Offers and imagery also need to be presented carefully so they do not create a misleading impression.

Google has its own policies on top of these requirements. Health-related advertising can be subject to restrictions around personalised targeting, advertiser verification and certain healthcare categories, depending on the campaign and services being promoted.

That means chiropractic campaigns need to be considered from both sides: what you are allowed to say as a regulated health service and what Google allows you to advertise or target through its platform.

Our healthcare marketing work takes these requirements into account when developing chiropractic ads, landing pages and campaign settings. You can read more in our guide to the AHPRA advertising guidelines.

How to grow your business

IS IT FOR YOU?

who is this for?

chiropractic clinics with books to fill.

Google Ads may be worth considering when your chiropractic clinic wants more visibility for relevant searches and has capacity for additional enquiries.

That can include an established clinic with appointment availability, a new clinic building local visibility, a multi-location business needing separate geographic campaigns, or a clinic that has previously run paid search without having clear tracking in place.

It may not be appropriate simply because competitors are advertising.

Budget, search demand, website quality, clinic capacity, competition and the economics of attracting a new patient all affect whether paid search makes sense.

If another marketing channel is more appropriate for what you are trying to achieve, that should form part of the discussion too.

Google Ads can also work alongside chiropractor SEO. Paid search buys advertising visibility while the campaign runs, whereas SEO focuses on improving organic visibility over a longer period.

They solve different problems and do not need to be treated as competing strategies.

FAQS

got questions?

we've got answers.

Google Ads for chiropractors can work well when the campaign targets relevant local searches and the clinic has capacity for additional enquiries. Paid search can place your clinic in front of people already looking for a chiropractor or a service you provide, rather than relying on them to discover you through another channel. Results still depend on factors such as search demand, competition, budget, campaign setup, landing-page quality and how effectively enquiries are handled by the practice. Tracking calls, forms and booking actions where possible also helps determine whether the campaign is generating useful activity rather than clicks alone.

Google Ads for chiropractors can begin generating impressions and clicks once a campaign is approved and running, but there is no fixed timeframe for generating new enquiries. Early campaign data is used to understand which search terms, ads and landing pages are producing useful actions and which areas need refinement. Conversion performance can therefore develop over time as negative keywords, bids, advertising copy and targeting are adjusted. The appropriate timeframe for assessing performance depends on the search volume, budget and amount of data the individual campaign produces.

A chiropractor can use Google Ads and SEO together because the two channels address different parts of search visibility. Google Ads provides paid visibility while the campaign is active, while chiropractor SEO focuses on improving organic visibility over time. Paid search may be useful when a clinic wants additional visibility sooner, while SEO can build a longer-term source of unpaid search traffic. The right balance depends on the clinic’s current rankings, budget, competition, website and how quickly additional visibility is needed.

The keywords a chiropractor should use for Google Ads are searches that accurately reflect the clinic’s services, locations and the intent of prospective patients. Relevant local searches and service-related terms may be suitable where they match services the clinic genuinely provides. Search terms connected with jobs, salaries, university courses or becoming a chiropractor usually represent very different intent and may need to be excluded. The final keyword strategy should also consider match types, conversion data and actual search-term performance rather than relying only on estimated search volume.

The negative keywords chiropractor ads need are terms that help prevent advertisements appearing for searches that are irrelevant to the clinic’s services or campaign goals. Common examples can include searches relating to jobs, careers, salaries, university courses, degrees, training and chiropractic assistant or receptionist positions. The exact negative keyword list will differ between clinics because services, locations and target searches vary. Negative keyword management should also continue after launch by reviewing the actual search terms triggering the campaign and excluding irrelevant themes as they appear.

Google Ads for chiropractors can be run in a way that considers AHPRA advertising requirements, but approval by Google does not automatically make an advertisement compliant with the National Law. Chiropractic advertising must avoid false or misleading claims, prohibited testimonials about regulated health services, unreasonable expectations of beneficial treatment and other advertising practices restricted under the National Law. These requirements can apply to both the advertisement and the landing page or website content it promotes. We therefore consider the healthcare advertising requirements when developing chiropractic ads and related landing-page messaging.

Chiropractors may need to complete Google advertiser verification or other account requirements depending on the campaign, services being promoted and Google’s current policies. Not every chiropractic campaign automatically requires the same healthcare certification simply because the advertiser is a chiropractor. Google maintains separate policies for advertiser verification, healthcare advertising and sensitive-interest targeting, so the requirements applying to an individual account can vary. We review the applicable Google Ads requirements during campaign setup and address verification requests where they apply.

Chiropractor AdWords is an older term for what is now called Google Ads. Google changed the platform name from Google AdWords to Google Ads in 2018, although searches for chiropractor AdWords and AdWords for chiropractors are still commonly used by people looking for paid-search services. The underlying intent is generally the same: advertising a chiropractic clinic through Google’s paid advertising platform. We use the current Google Ads platform and terminology when managing campaigns.

Choosing the best Google Ads agency for chiropractors means finding a provider whose experience and approach suit your clinic rather than relying on a claim that one agency is universally the best. Look at whether the agency understands Australian healthcare advertising requirements, how it measures conversions, how often campaigns are reviewed and what is actually included in ongoing management. It is also worth asking who will work on your account, how search terms and negative keywords are managed, and whether landing pages form part of the campaign strategy. Marketing Movement specialises in allied health marketing, is Australian based and has Google Ads-certified team members and a registered allied health practitioner within the team.

A chiropractic Google Ads landing page should clearly match the search and advertisement that brought the visitor to the page. Useful information can include the relevant service, clinic location, contact details, opening information and a clear pathway to call, enquire or book where those options are available. The page should also work well on mobile devices, load quickly and accurately represent the services the clinic provides. Because the landing page forms part of the advertising journey, its healthcare claims and other content should also be considered against the advertising requirements applying to regulated health services.

A chiropractic clinic can use Google Ads or Meta Ads depending on the audience it wants to reach and the purpose of the campaign. Google Search advertising can reach people who are already actively searching for a chiropractor or relevant service, while Meta Ads can place advertising in front of people using platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. The two channels therefore involve different user behaviour, targeting options and campaign strategies. The most appropriate channel depends on the clinic’s objectives, available budget, services, audience and wider chiropractic marketing strategy.

We work with chiropractors outside Sydney and Melbourne, including clinics across Australia. Google Ads campaigns can be managed remotely, so your location does not limit access to our service. The campaign strategy is tailored to your clinic’s actual catchment, local competition, services and available budget rather than using the same settings for every location. Regional, suburban and metropolitan clinics can all require different geographic targeting and keyword strategies, which we consider when planning and managing the campaign.
